RKTracer Linux/Ubuntu Installation
To install the RKTracer code coverage tool on your Linux machine, you need to download the RKTracer Installer and the free trial license.
When you downloaded the RKTracer file, extract that file, and you will find the RKTracer installer and the free trial license file. Make sure you have these files in the download section. So, there will be no read-write issue.
Open the download folder in the terminal. Now paste the following command on the terminal to install the RKTracer on your Linux machine.
sh rktracer.run –target $HOME/rktracer — -path
After you run the command, you will ask for the agreement with RKTracer. Press the y key to accept and continue the installation process.
Then you will see the following screen. Here the path for the RKTracer is added to your home directory.
So, now copy the command showing in the below image. And close that terminal and open a new one. Paste that copied command on this new terminal and run the following command.
So, execute that copy command on the new terminal and run the following command.
This command will show you that the license for the RKTracer code coverage tool is missing. So let’s see how to add the free trial license of the RKTracer code coverage tool to your Linux machine.
To configure a free trial license, go to the download folder and copy the free trial license file.
Go to the home folder, find the rktracer installation folder, and paste the free trial license file here.
So, you configure the free trial license file of RKTracer. Now go to the terminal and run the following command to verify you successfully configured that free trial license file of the RKTracer code coverage tool.
When you see the same message on your Linux terminal, that is shown in the above image. Then you successfully installed the RKTracer on your Linux machine and configured your free trial license for the RKTracer code coverage tool.
